January 24 Weigh InI'm a little bummed about weigh in. Kevin lost 1 pound and I also only lost 1 pound. I realize that one pound is one pound closer to my goal but it sure felt like I worked my ass off and ate very well to only move the scale one little pound.
So yesterday I was totally feeling down and ate chinese for lunch and pizza for dinner. BAD BAD BAD!! But I felt so guilty that Kevin and I did our hardest workout ever. I only feel slightly better now.
I'm going to get back on the wagon today and get back to what I know is right. Besides, after all that food yesterday, I felt sorta sick and I like the way I feel when I'm doing everything I know is right.
So Million Pounders...I'm back to the "smart" me. Healthly and Happy today. Plus, I didn't gain and THAT is a good thing. Keep it up everyone! We are well on our way! January 22 Weigh in tomorrowI always get a little worried before weigh in day. I know I did great this week and so did Kevin. I just hope the scale reflects our hard work tomorrow. Til then, I'll keep my fingers crossed and think positive. I'll let ya know how it goes! Take a moment to remember a great man... January 20 Sunday night (and a little about my dog)We made it through another weekend. It was cold and miserable and the Packers lost. Kevin and I didn't lose our focus. We made good food choices and modified our workouts to include the bike, stair step, and Turbo Jam DVDs. I never thought I would miss the treadmill as much as I do. I love to walk and listen to my iPod. It's my time to be in my own world and reflect on the day. Besides, the Turbo Jam DVDs are kicking my ass! But I suppose thats a good thing. Plus, it keeps Kevin and I working out together, which is always fun. All in all, a good (yet cold) weekend.
I was invited by The Carb Crushers to share pictures of my puppy on my space. His name is Zeus and he is turning 6 months old on the 22nd. We got him from the Cloquet, MN Friends of Animals Humane Society shelter when he was 6 weeks old. He was actually born at the pound when his momma was given up before giving birth. He had 6 brothers and one sister and they were all named after the seven dwarfs. Zeus's real name was Sneezy but we changed it right away. He is a fun loving puppy who gets along with everyone and every dog.
This is the picture we used for our Christmas cards this year.
This is Zeus as our brand new 6 week old puppy.
Well, enough bragging about our dog. Time to focus on the week ahead. Hope everyone is doing well and keeping up the good work. Keep your heads held high and your running shoes on. Don't forget to drink your water! January 19 Saturday MorningWhat a disgusting day. We woke up to -10 degrees. There will be no exercising outside today. We usually get the dog out for his walks on weekends but even he doesn't want to be out there too long. We did a really good 45 minute cardio jam dvd last night. I'll probably do some biking today. It's just one of those lazy, cold days. Gotta get motivated. Except the couch is calling me... Good luck to everyone on the Million Pound Match-up journey. Here's to Health and Happiness!
